Misha Heath (Ish to her friends although she has very few of those) created an imaginary world when she was a teenager. It was such a detailed creation that Ish was able to build a career writing stories about her imaginary universe and the people who lived there. Unfortunately, Ish’s imaginary universe didn’t turn out to be very imaginary and the people turned out to be very real and, in some cases, very dangerous.

Misha Heath splits her time between her other universe, and the real one. 
The problem is, Ish’s life in the real world consists of a war between the demonic kingdom that’s hell bent on ruining humanity, and the good one, the Kingdom that brings only peace and joy and fullness of life. Sadly people, in Ish’s experience, constantly reject the good and choose the bad, because people, on the whole, have no idea that their world is under the thumb of the demonic kingdom and has been for millennia. Ish’s real life has been a battle since she was fourteen. Ish’s imaginary world gives her some sort of respite.

Or it used to, before the villain of her universe started making nasty plans.

While Ish is preoccupied in her imaginary universe, all Hell breaks loose back in the real world and suddenly, neither of Ish’s worlds are safe places. An enemy from the past rises up and threatens to change Ish’s life and family forever, destroying everything she loves and leaving her alone.
