Things are not good.
Bilquis Hafeez and her mother are running away from her father.
The problem is though, the danger does not come from her Father Rashid, but rather the creature living within him. Only nobody would ever believe that. Never in a million years.

Martina Licciardello has a job she hates that involves all the cases nobody else in her office wants to touch. And now she has to mediate in a difficult dispute involving a Muslim family and she really, really hopes she doesn’t say the wrong thing and find herself facing a charge of racial discrimination.
Really though, Martina hates her life. She hates being plain and overweight and thirty. When she meets a stranger who seduces her so quickly she wonders about adding “slut” to “old,” “fat” and “ugly,” Martina finally hopes it’s the beginning of an amazing love affair.
Unfortunately, it isn’t quite like her romantic fantasies, especially when she learns that her new boyfriend is not quite who he first appeared to be, or even, unfortunately, human.

Martina is thrown into a world she never knew existed and really doesn’t like. Her stubborn refusal to see this world, even when it’s so glaringly obvious a blind monkey couldn’t miss it, leads to Martina making some truly disastrous judgement calls that have terrible consequences, both for herself and others.

Meanwhile, an unobtrusive man begins to sow the seeds that will, hopefully, lead to a single, united world government. If he can’t unite the nations in peace, which seems utterly impossible, then he will unite them in fear instead. Malik Khan is a man with a vision, and the vision isn’t quite as benign as it looks on paper. The Beast of Revelation, the Antichrist, is beginning to win over the world with his tireless pursuit of peace, although the peace he offers comes with an extremely high price indeed…
