Pentecost Rising

The Beast Begins to Rise
The man of Lawlessness is unleashed, and his servants need to offer a sacrifice.

Lori Heath likes to play the “pretend game.” That’s the game where the world is only what can be seen with the eye and heard with the ear. Where there is no demonic kingdom hungrily tearing into humanity. Where there is no war. Where there are no enemies waiting for her to drop her guard before they attack.
Unfortunately for Lori, the “pretend game” may be comforting, but it’s deadly.

Eighteen years ago Misha Heath (Ish to her friends) made a mistake and that mistake terrified the world. Now, after almost two decades of close scrutinisation by the British government, the Americans have decided that Ish is a security risk to both countries and Sam King is dispatched to handle the case. Sam King has his own agenda and part of that is to examine a boy whom Ish has recently brought back to life, a boy who was murdered as a sacrifice to a creature close to being unleashed onto humanity.

Anyone with any interest in Scripture has heard of The Beast of revelation, the Antichrist. There have been a thousand theories as to his identity among those who still think his existence is more than a legend. All those theories are wrong. The Beast has been restrained until now, trapped in his prison and waiting until the day he can change the world and remake it in his image.

Lori would like to play the “pretend game” concerning The Beast too, only as the day he leaves his prison becomes perilously close, Lori is forced to stop pretending and face this ancient threat. She is both helped and hindered by the arrival of a man who knows a great deal about her family, about the beast, and about her dark, unpleasant Uncle Darian. A man who is also connected to The Beast and has been for a very, very long time.
