Tegid Kohlenberger’s best friend Jemma is pregnant and desperately miserable, quite miserable enough to take a knife to her own wrists.
Unable to ease her pain any other way, Tegid seeks the help of an ancient Demon goddess known as Pandora, even though he knows such an action is unlikely to bear good fruit.
But Pandora is not who she seems, and her introduction into Tegid’s life is something he soon has cause to regret.

Craig Prasch’s father John is having a nervous breakdown. He screams in the night with memories of a life he can’t recall living, leaving Craig and his girlfriend, Ayesha, bemused and terrified in equal measures.
Craig has always felt rootless and envied Ayesha’s tight-knit, happy family. But Craig has just discovered that his father has a brother that Craig never knew about, and Craig and Ayesha are keen to meet him.
Professor Darian Epton is less keen to meet his brother’s son, and is more bothered with using the ancient power of the Magi, a powerful, secret order of men and women hidden within the higher echelons of British society, to ease John’s traumatic memories the way he has done every generation for two thousand years.
The Magi have been subtly manipulating the British government for years, and when they give a favour, they expect a price. Usually, the price is something Darian Epton can afford. This time though, the Magi want something he cannot pay alone, something that requires him to betray a close friend and the only woman he really cares about.
